Rubrik was designed to describe a softer and more natural use of technology, and was inspired by the helpful feel of a manual typewriter. The typefaces on those old machines were designed to be proper, practical and popular. Rubik’s simplified open forms resurrect that tone in a clear and modern way.
The design stems from a collaboration between Miles Newlyn and Lee Schultz.
